Economic and financial literacy is one of the most neglected curricula in secondary schools, and the Czech Republic ranks high on the list. Martina Bacíková decided to change this and founded INEV, the Institute of Economic Education, that organises the Economic Olympiad (both national and international, a high school competition that was attended by 20,000 students in one year), courses for teachers, and analysis of financial literacy knowledge.
